Olympiad Festus Celebrates 10 Years in Business

Celebrating 10 Years of Business in Festus!

Olympiad Gymnastics opened in Festus September of 2001.  Olympiad was looking to add the Twin Cities/Jefferson County area to its other six locations.  Ray Overmann, Olympiad owner and CEO, is exceedingly proud of the Festus staff and he loves being a part of the Festus community.   When Olympiad first moved to the historic armory building at
215 Mill Street
10 years ago it was an instant hit.  It was obvious that we had found a home and were a welcome addition to the area.

The gym currently has over 400 gymnasts, cheerleaders and dancers enrolled in weekly classes.  The competitive gymnastics team, led by Shannon Kennedy, has won numerous awards including Missouri State Championships.  A camp for preschoolers called “Busy Bees” keeps tots active all year around with Preschool Director, Katy Thompson.

Gym Manager, Kristie Marnin, loves the energy of the gym.  She says, “Much of our success comes from having outstanding staff that come from the area and take pride in our community.  Many of them have had children who participate in gymnastics or dance or have come back to teach after growing up attending classes.  Having such a great activities to offer makes our job really fun.  Kids love it here and that makes us feel special. Our motto is “We’re Good For Kids” and people really believe in us, which is evident by our growing success”.

Dance Director, Holly Andronicescu, is the newest member of Festus leaders. She came to us with a long list of impressive credentials and she is looking forward to developing the Dance Fever program to a new level in the Festus area.

The gym is hosting an Open House August 6th from 11:00-1:00.

The Olympiad Corporate Office will be treating the staff to a 10-year celebration luncheon at The Blue Owl in Festus.
