This
past July 14, Olympia, Team Central, and My Gym hosted a summer conference for all
our staff. Over 70 of our staff
attended. We had special guests Kate Day
and Matt Zalewski come and talk to our staff.
Kate spent a couple of hours speaking about working with children with
special needs and Matt spoke about athlete’s health and concussions. We also had some of our own staff leaders give
presentations on various different topics from skills and drills to customer
care and service.
August
9-11, we had 12 staff members go to Kansas City, MO for the USAG National
Congress. USA Gymnastics National Congress
& Trade show offers the best gymnastics education that the United States
has to offer. Olympia/Team
Central were so excited to be able to provide this unique opportunity to our
staff to attend educational presentations, as well as a number of live
demonstrations, on a variety of topics, including coaching, judging, business,
preschool, school-age/recreational, sports science, fitness, safe sport and
more. Upon returning from Congress, they
will get an opportunity to then share what they learned to the rest of our
staff. Olympia, Team Central, and My Gym
continue to encourage our staff to learn more and grow in their positions, in
the sport of gymnastics, and in their personal lives. We value these opportunities and want you to
